Orignal work was Acrylic and oilstick on paper mounted on wood, 91.4 x 61 cm.
One of the most influential artists of his generation, Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988) catapulted to fame with his raw graphic fusion of words, cartoons and cultural references. His close friendships with Keith Haring and Andy Warhol and his tragically early death only add intrigue to his brief but brilliant career. Art.com has reached deep into the Basquiat Estate archives to handpick these rare images, many of which are only exhibited in museums. Each piece has been carefully reproduced with our giclée printing process to maximize color accuracy and resolution.
This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface.
